The Beginnings of a Successful Back to School at Home and in Class too

The funny thing about summer vacation is we are never really off. Back to school is always on our minds… supplies, success and planning for the best year we can have. There are some amazing deals happening right now on staples I use in my classroom but also things I suggest my students have for a successful back to school at home.

This post was created in partnership with Walmart. All opinions are my own.

It’s nice to return to school with more control over our classroom layout and making the space be what we’d like to be again. Walmart has so many amazing deals on my classroom staples right now!

My favorite spot in my classroom is the library nook and I’d love to be able to add more seating like this comfy chair to the space. A piece like this is also a great motivator at home to inspire kids to sit in their reading chairs and to get cozy while they read every night.

Setting up a homework and/or reading nook at home can be a huge help in building independence in kids and also helping them stay motivated to stay on task. Book bins along with unique supplies will allow them to have all they need every night when they sit down to complete homework, projects and reading time.

What are some of your favorite back to school staples?
