Fall transition is the best the weather has to offer in New York- but sometimes, dressing for this complicated weather can be tricky. I am heading back to school, and we can go from crazy hot- to cold in the blink of an eye. I always stock up on tops that are versatile, comfortable and polished.
This post is created in partnership with Nordstrom, all opinions are my own.
I love adding tops to my wardrobe that are forever purchases. Fast-find tees are great- but quality pieces that will last through washes and wears always win for me. Nordstrom never fails when it comes to closet staples that are high quality and right on trend.
This tee is under $50 and it is SO well made! I ordered it in a few colors and I am so happy with my purchases. Leopard is an official neutral for Fall and this season’s puff sleeve trend has been smitten. The best thing about this top- is that the puff sleeve detail is super subtle- which makes it super classic.
BlankNYC jeans are forever favorites of mine. They are notoriously soft and always so flattering- so I always stock up when new styles are released. This pair has some mom jeans vibes but are still super flattering.

When I read today’s post in my email inbox I couldn’t agree more with your longing for lockdown. Not for all the reasons you’ve indicated, although I certainly agree but because Covid 19 is still deadlier than ever and folks are spreading it Willy-nilly. We’re just see a small resurgence here east of Toronto with our kids headed back to school and despite of safety protocols teachers, staff and students are being impacted in never before seen numbers. So while My inner introvert misses the quiet and the delivered groceries and the lack of appointments, my intelligence tells me we were on to something. It’s way too soon to be giving up those ways.
If you manage to make it to the end of my rant🤣 I wanted to let you know the “shop with me link” at the very end is a dead end.
Please stay well. Don’t ignore your introverted instincts, they serve you well.

Thank you so much Christa! I will work on that link and I love what you said here- maybe it is my instincts!
