Sunsets and Stilettos

The holidays are almost upon us and if there is one thing about capsule style- there can be times we need to spruce up the place. We can stick with basics as our base layers and wear our tried and true jeans- but sometimes a few simple additions can pull together an amazing holiday look that is comfy and versatile.

J. Crew has been helping me build my capsule wardrobe for the last year. I am always able to find amazing staples that will last me for years, everything from outerwear to basics like jeans. This holiday I am staying comfy but always looking to be polished and on trend. 

The demi boot jeans have become one of my favorites this year and I have them in a few washes perfect for work or the weekend. For holiday I went with a super rich, dark denim that dresses up any look. I love the flattering fit and how they easily pair with sneakers or booties. 

J. Crew has amazing layering pieces like this ruffled turtleneck. I feel like this is one of the things I love most about the brand. They take basic pieces and add small detail that makes all the difference. Since getting this top I have been layering it so many different ways. Loving it with this cable knit vest!

J. Crew outerwear never fails and this year is no different. The coat you choose can dress your outfit up or down. This coat has me living my Jackie O. dreams! Ivory jackets have always left me swooning and this one is a cashmere blend that is the softest thing ever. It runs true to size. I am wearing the petite length which leaves the sleeves in a shorter bracelet length. 

This look has me wanting to go to the city for a nice dinner. Want to come along?
